Growing in Grace through Song

One of the most joyful sights in our church is watching our children lead worship—whether in the traditional Celebration service or the contemporary Connexion service. Often, our children spend months preparing songs through their participation in the “Music and Missions” program on Wednesday nights. Not only do the children learn about musical instruments, vocal performance, and stage presence in these practice sessions, they also study the work of missionaries serving around the world. If you are watching, you will see them putting their knowledge into action when they lead in worship at least once every semester, and as they interact with others at church. Their heart for missions is growing, as evidenced by their recent contribution to fund barrel rollers for families who have to transport their water over long distances.

What’s truly remarkable about our children is how enthusiastic they are about participating in both styles of worship. They don’t just sing songs; they serve as genuine examples of what it means to worship with authenticity, no matter the setting. Their energy is contagious, reminding all of us that worship isn’t about performance—worship is an expression of love for Jesus, who gave everything to bring us back into relationship with God. Worship is a conduit for the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

This vital ministry is made possible through your faithful giving. Each time you contribute to our regular church budget, you are supporting programs like “Music and Missions” that nurture the spiritual lives of our youngest members. Your generosity provides resources, music materials, and mission-focused learning opportunities that shape our children into leaders who love God and love others.

Thank you for investing in the next generation. When you give, you’re not just funding a program—you’re fueling a ministry that empowers children to grow in faith and boldly share it with others. Pay close attention as the children lead worship. You might just be inspired by their fearless faith and heartfelt praise.
