GriefShare groups are led by people who understand what you are going through when you experience loss. They want to help. By participating in this group you will gain valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life. Do you dread the lonely days and nights? Wonder what to do with your spouse’s belongings? Feel like your brain is in a fog? Unsure of how you’ll go on? Please join us for this special GriefShare event called “Loss of a Spouse” on July 14 at 6:00 p.m. in Education Building room 301.

At a Loss of a Spouse seminar you’ll discover:

• Other people understand and have found ways to make it through
• Why it won’t always hurt so much
• Reasons for hope
• Practical tips for coping with the death of a spouse

A new session of GriefShare will run from August 19-November 11, 2026. Session materials are provided for the minimal cost of $10. Please contact our church office if you would like information about this group.

1. At GriefShare’s website, click on the button that says “Find a Group”.
2. In the search bar, enter First Baptist Church of Griffin or enter the zip code 30223 and locate FBC Griffin.
3. Select First Baptist Griffin’s GriefShare group and register for the session.
4. Show up at FBC Griffin (106 W. Taylor St., Griffin, GA 30223) by 6:00 p.m. on August 19 to begin the study. Note: You are invited to join us for a fellowship meal in Morgan Hall (located on the other side of the church, with the more convenient access being at the 8th Street entrance) at 5:00 p.m. before the group meeting begins. The GriefShare session will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. each week.
