Calling all Book Lovers! And Book Likers! and Book Tolerators!

Thank you to those participating in our Curb Side Library service. At the moment, we do not know when the library will be returning to what was routine. Since patrons cannot come in and browse, over the next few weeks we will be listing some of our New Arrivals and additions to series in the library available for checking out to hopefully whet a few whistles.

  • Irene Hannon’s Hope Harbor series of 6 books- Hope Harbor, Sea Rose Lane, Sandpiper Cove, Pelican Point, Driftwood Bay, Starfish Pier. Hope Harbor, Oregon, a place “where hearts heal…. And love blooms.”
  • Kristi Ann Hunter has 2 series, the Hawthorne House series consisting of A Noble Masquerade, An Elegant Façade, An Uncommon Courtship and An Inconvenient Beauty along with 2 books of Haven Manor, A Defense of Honor and A Return of Devotion. (FYI, Kristi Ann is the daughter of our own Bob and Linda Long!)
  • Tales from Grace Chapel Inn by multiple authors. Grace Chapel Inn is a unique B&B in Acorn Hill, PA., run by the three daughters of the late Rev. Daniel Howard, with many stories of guests, townspeople and events.
  • Philip Yancey’s Where Is God When It Hurts? For those persons for whom life sometimes just doesn’t make sense.

When you wish to pick up your books, we are in the library on Tuesdays 1-3. Just come to the Poplar Street doors and ring the doorbell. You may request by email (library@fbcgriffin.org) or leave a message on the library phone (770-227-5517, ext. 133) If your SS class is meeting in the building, we will also leave your books in your SS meeting room. Just let us know where it is right now.

So, are we ready to curl up with some hot tea in front of a fireplace with a good book?
