Weekday Education

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Griffin, Georgia, and the Weekday Education Program. We believe that a good beginning for every child is of great importance. In Proverbs 22:6 it is written: “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

This Week’s Announcements at a Glance

FBC Fall Festival 2021

October 27th, 5:00-8:00pm

We’re having a bona fide chili cook-off, complete with a gold, silver, and bronze medal for the winners! You’ll find hayrides, pumpkin painting, a cake walk (yum!), face painting, Bingo, S’mores, games, and trunk or treat—you’re sure to have more fun than a pumpkin on Halloween! We need you to sign up if you want a ride to the event or if you would like to participate in our chili cook-off or cake walk. We would like to ask all families who are attending to bring two (2) bags of candy for the trunk or treat event. We can’t wait to see you there!

You Have Spoken...

On Sunday, October 4, we met in a church conference following both morning services. This meeting was called to act on a recommendation from our deacons to continue the current Sunday morning schedule (9:00 a.m. Celebration, 10:15 a.m. Sunday school, 11:15 a.m. Connexion) for the foreseeable future. The motion passed with 89% voting in its favor.

Enjoy Your Break!

October 11-15 affords many of our families an opportunity for respite…how about you?

November 12-14th: The exchange from death to life is at the heart of the Gospel. Your students will have a chance to see exactly why this exchange is necessary, what has to happen to see the exchange made in their lives, and how they should approach this exchange.

Retreat with us into the wilderness at Ft. McAllister State Park for a few days in February of 2022. FBC will host a shrimp boil Monday night, February 21, and you’re invited to bring your best salad and dessert.
