Everyone needs a good pair of shoes, and as we study the book of Jonah together, we know Jonah ran from the call of God. We are going to turn in our own running shoes as a way to commit to God rather than from him in our own lives. We want to run TO God rather than run FROM Him. This is our act of surrender.

On Sunday November 10, we’re surrendering our shoes at the altar during worship. Kids, women’s, and men’s shoes….we’re giving our shoes to our own Clothes Closet, serving our own needs here in Griffin. We’re making an impact on the lives of people right here in our own community. So this week, dig in your closet and see if you have any shoes that you don’t wear any more or that you could do without and bring them with you to church on Sunday to leave at the altar.
