Adult Ministries supported by your giving are vital to the health of our FBC community. From XYZ (our senior adult ministry) to Wednesday Night small groups to Sunday school, people are growing in Christ through the materials and fellowship they experience together.
Sunday school curriculum subscriptions enable our classes to stay current in devotional material provided by Smyth and Helwys as well as GC2 Press (an arm of the Texas Baptists). This content provides our Sunday school teachers with expert commentary and study questions they can deliver to their classes each week.
XYZ, which stands for X’tra Years of Zest, is our senior adult ministry. This group holds monthly meetings that enable seniors to fellowship with one another over a meal and to enjoy a presentation or performance from speakers within our community. XYZ also takes special trips throughout the year to participate in events, pick peaches, and enjoy life together.
Finally, our small group ministry at FBC is thriving. Adults have a range of choices in Bible study on Wednesday nights. These groups are usually topically based and change each “term”. Certain groups like the Pastor’s Bible Study and GriefShare are staples on Wednesday nights. Whether it’s the small group experience, musical ensemble rehearsal, children’s activities, or students activities, all can come at 5:00 p.m. to enjoy a meal together in Morgan Hall. These ministries are supported by your regular giving to FBC.
