FBC Griffin is a “community of grace.” However, we recognize that grace is a journey, not a destination. As with any journey, there are often unexpected twists and turns in the road. Whatever your journey has been to this point, we are thankful that God has led you to First Baptist. We want to provide tools for you to help navigate your journey and give you a better understanding of this community that God is forming.
The Journey in Grace membership gathering is a basic introduction to our church family and is designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. This class provides an overview of our understanding of Salvation, our basic church beliefs, and our structure as a church. You will hear about the history of First Baptist Griffin and will learn a little about our understanding of what it means to be a “Baptist” congregation.
The Journey in Grace class is designed for two groups of people. First, it is for those who have joined our fellowship in the past year or so and would like to have a better understanding of who we are at FBC. Second, it is for those who have been attending and are thinking about joining First Baptist but want to explore what that means in a little depth.
This class is taught by a minister and generally meets on the first Sunday of each month*. The next session will be held on November 3 at 10:15 a.m. in the Heritage Room.
*In the event that other activities prevent us from meeting according to this schedule, we will post the next session date here.
