“Sustaining the mission;
funding the future”
Gifts to the Foundation open doors of faith, hope, and the future for First Baptist Church.
If you would like to send in a gift, please make it payable to FBC Endowment Foundation, Inc. and mail it to P.O. Box 908, Griffin, GA 30224.
The First Baptist Church Endowment Foundation was incorporated on May 25, 2007 following a vote by the church to establish a foundation made possible by a large gift bequeathed to First Baptist Church by Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Lewis and their daughter, Ginger Lewis Lebos. Investing in the FBC Foundation represents a long term investment in the church, its families, its facilities, and its future. This entity operates separately from the church, but in the best interests of FBC Griffin.
The members of the Foundation are elected by the congregation. Following each worship service on March 17, 2024, we will receive nominations from our members for the First Baptist Church Endowment Foundation Board of Directors. Please be in prayer over the next weeks concerning two individuals you would like to nominate. According to our Foundation bylaws, the nominees should exhibit qualities of good character, sound judgment, and decisive action. They should faithfully support the services ad programs of the church with regular attendance, committed stewardship, and a cooperative spirit. The influence of any potential director should strengthen the witness of the church. Nominees should be at least 21 years old, be active members of the church for at least one year, and be able to be bonded. Foundation members serve five (5) year terms, which begin one July 1. Ex-Officio board members serve on the Board as long as they remain in their elected office.
