First Baptist Church of Griffin, GA Endowment Foundation Board of Director’s Nomination
Bonnie Brown has been elected as Chair of the Board of Deacons for First Baptist Church for 2020. She was also serving as an elected board member of the Endowment Foundation of First Baptist Church. As such, she cannot serve on the board of directors in two different capacities. She has therefore resigned her position as an elected director will continue to serve the Board in her position as Chair of Deacons (ex-officio member).
According to the by-laws, the Board may nominate a person to fill any vacancies that may occur on the Board of Directors. That nomination must be voted upon by the congregation. The directors would like to nominate James (Jim) Dunaway to fill the vacant position left on the Board of Directors to serve a term that will expire on June 30, 2023.
We will vote on this nomination at the next church conference on February 9, 2020.
