Advent Conspiracy Resources
This year (2022), FBC Griffin will engage in a church-wide emphasis during Advent known as “The Advent Conspiracy.” The Advent Conspiracy is an international movement whose stated purpose is “to bring a deeper meaning to Christmas.” It was created in 2006 as a reaction against the consumerism surrounding the holiday and the loss of its true meaning, advocating for community service projects and relational gifts instead of traditional gift giving.
The ministerial team is asking that our church make an intentional effort to be on the same page in our use of this resource. The primary teaching material for this emphais comes from the book, Advent Conspiracy: Making Christmas Meaningful (Again). The videos below are intended to be shown to your class as well as the weekly discussion handouts we created to help guide your class discussions. A printable version of the study guide is linked here.
