We are so honored that you are visiting our website and gaining through it, hopefully, a taste of First Baptist Church of Griffin. We are a congregation that believes in offering people choices in Worship, Bible Studies, and Ministry Involvement.
We offer excellence in both traditional worship and contemporary worship. Our Sanctuary is at the center of traditional worship and is designed to create beautiful sacred spaces. Our organ and piano are accompanied by orchestra. The Family Life Building is home to our Connexion Service, where contemporary worship is experienced at its best with guitars, bass, drums and keyboard.
On both Sundays and Wednesdays, there are a variety of special studies which are geared to promote growth in all age groups. We also have a full array of programming for children and youth which focus on Discipleship, Music, and Mission Involvement.
It is perhaps also important to note that First Baptist Church of Griffin is a moderate Baptist Congregation. We support both the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Southern Baptist Convention through our budget.
We value differences in biblical interpretation.
We celebrate women as deacons and ministers.
We believe that the center of our faith is the message of Christ, especially his emphasis upon grace and love.
We believe that Jesus gives us the clearest picture of what God is like and of what God's children should seek to become.
Come and visit with us and taste for yourself the wonderful spirit of this community of faith.
With Warm Regards,
Dr. William L. Hardee
